Thomas was born and raised in Germany, but is international throughout. Focused and precise, with a deep understanding of cultural diversity and full of inspiring energy. He sweeps people along and motivates to think differently. He loves pushing his own boundaries and moving the world, at least a little bit, with the second most important thing in the world – The love of wine.

Thomas is quite unique – even in the rare group of only 417 Master of Wine worldwide. He does not fit into a single pigeonhole: he is an international media professional, communicator, coach, senior manager, change and digital expert with more than 30 years of expertise inside and also outside the wine world. He knows and understands the challenges and opportunities presented by the profound transformation of a business environment. As part of his work for a globally operating DAX 30 company, he has, for example, designed and implemented international leadership, change and purpose projects.

Thomas is a keynote speaker at major international conferences, coaches wine enthusiasts and is a judge at wine competitions. He writes articles for international publications and shares his passion for wine wherever possible. He also leads seminars and masterclasses and passes on his knowledge to the next generation of these top experts as part of the  Institute of Masters of Wine training programme. He teaches for numerous bodies and international wine institutions such as the  Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET). Thomas is also a member of the WSET Alumni Advisory Board.
